Re: Choice of 3 alloys - Help Please
By process of elimination and a lot of help from here, the Ronal Penta's have been eliminated as well. The seller came back and informed me that the load rating is 615kg which with a hi-top and all the kit that get's carried is n't going to work. At least the Borbet copies are 861kg.

Take a look at this site:

He was recommended to me after I needed to get a new front and rear bumpers due to the cracking of the old ones.

Re: Reader Rides (trial thread)
Hello, this is Emma a 1989 2.1 panel van that has had a Reimo conversion done on it, I have owned the van for 4 years now and is my first experience of any VW. I found this on my companies Intranet site for sale (see pic 1). I have sourced many many parts including a set of 5 Carat alloys, 2 captain...

Hello, just some thought to add to this, fleabay has these kits now with the relays and wiring included, is it worth using these now?

Can't fit the spare wheel under the van !!!!!
I have a set of 14" Carat's on the van including a spare, I was doing routine maintenance and checked the spare wheel for pressure etc and noticed that it was a 185 R14 tyre compared to 205 R14 tryes that I have fitted to the rest of the van. Went off and got the tyre changed (it was well worn)...

Rusty Window for Emma
Hello, since all the heavy rain I have been getting water coming down the nearside panel and onto the floor of my van. I had already booked the van into VooDoo VW for the repair work and now understand where the water was coming in from. I was lucky that the window had n't fallen out, looking at the...
Re: Awning
Use a khyam as well highly recommended. I also bought two
storm straps that have ensured the awning stays put in gale force 7 storms in Weymouth and Woolacombe. Search fleabay or your local camping shop.

Re: iridium spark plugs ngk
I've had a set fitted to mine and a K&N air filter, last time it went in for a service (last month). My only impression is that the engine seems smoother and seems to idle better, I'm in no way an expert in the joys of engine mechanics. I've got an 89 2.1, and it does seem better.

Re: Fitting stereo
The other alternative is to remove the ash tray and see if you can get the wires and the heater control wires around the back or on top/bottom of the stereo. If you have a dash tidy remove and go in via the ash tray hole. I had the same problem and just carefully moved all the wires underneath the s...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hello all, I've been gradually building up to do the respray of my van and have a question concerning body kits. I have the Reimo bumpers and planks fitted to my van, is it easier to remove them all and roller them individually or leave on the van and roller. I'm worried that the bumpers have alread...
