Fitted my 80 joker with the roof left in place. Double check your new canvas is big enough before removing your old one and use stainless steel staples.

If i remember right haynes say 11 ft-lb but both Tom Wilson book and Jake Raby build video go with 9ft-lb which is what i do mine at.

After the first fortnights camping last year with the panel on in not so sunny weather, only moving the van twice off the site. The hook-up stay's at home.

Before you repair it drill a very small hole right at the end of the crack. This will stop any possible crazing under the repair.

Now sorted the SKP 3 pin brake light switches are wired the opposite way round!! pulling the wires out of the connector plug and switching them round marked 81 and 82a they work fine.

OK this is bugging me now. Changed both brake light switches on the master cylinder, brake lights still stay on when ignition is off. Now this is the bit i don't get. Had a look this morning my van has two three pin switches on the master cylinder. The one nearest the steering wheel looks fine the other the plastic on the switch has melted. There is no sign of damage to the wires or the white round bit that fits onto the switch. No sign of damage behind the fuse ...
