Thanks for that. At least I know which way to hammer the thing now. Seems like the impact driver will have to be dug out. Lets hope it doesn't drive the mech through the skin.

Can't get the drivers window winder retaining screw to budge. Head of screw now looking a bit frazzled due to overtrying. What chance it's a right hand thread? I've often taken the ferry to Bilbao/ Santander with the motorbike and headed for my Dad's place near Bordeaux. October is gonna be a bit hit and miss with campsites so I can't guarantee the following - but surely that's the beauty of a T25? If the bus is up to it, take a big pass through the Pyrene...
