Fitting VW steel wheels to a trailer.

Post by syncrosimon »

I have this trailer for my syncro, and would like to fit the VW wheels for aesthetics. The standard 14" rims would be fine with the 5 hole 112 pcd. The trailer has a 4 hole 4 inch PCD. I cant find any hubs with the 5 hole pattern that fit the standard 1 inch trailer hub.

The tiny wheels look silly, and the trailer is dragging it's a*** on the road.

Has anyone done this, any advice greatly recieved.

a trailer with a bigger axel.

get one with 14 inch wheels and just fit matching tyres.

yu may find the hubs dont like the big 14 inch wheels , the ofset will be wrong , and the bearings may not cope long term

VW's 112 PCD is used as a standard trailer wheel more on the continent than the UK. Knott/Avonride do the hubs.
