T25 Carat Alloy Tyres

Post by arnieguitar »

Hi, does anyone know where I can get a pair of 205 70 R14 97H for my van, to match the ones I have on already. Or the best size to replace all four tyres with. Having difficulty locating anyone who can help.

Thanks

Type 205 70 R14 97H into Google and there's a few places that advertise that size of tyre.

Brickwerks did sell that size but they're not on the webshop at the moment.
Try sales@brickwerks.co.uk
There's no 'r' in bought!

They are fine in pairs across the same axle...so a different pattern on the fronts compared to the rears is not a problem.

Camskill as an example:

Thanks for that, Have decided to go for four new tyres 195 R14 with C rating over 100. Basically commercial tyres recommended by a good tyre company. Pays to be safer and over spec on these things than cut corners.

Fair enough although I wouldn't call 205/70 R14's with a load rating of 97 under spec'd or 'cutting corners'....these were exactly what Volkswagen fitted to the option Carat wheels (Semperits usually) on the top of the line Westfalia Atlantics and some of the better specified Caravelles.

I seem to remember Brickwerks selling these not so long ago...

Forgive me for saying but..the 195's will look 'tall' and a little ugly compared to the 205/70's .....I'm not sure I would have made this decision.
