Squeking Noise

Post by newmichelle4444 »

Hi there, I have been hearing a high pitched squeking noise when driving my t25 it happens when going strait and I think it is coming from the front wheels.

Any ideas or advise welcome, thanks. x x x

Probably brake pads just lightly rubbing on the discs. Dry weather makes it worse. Try chucking some water through the front wheels. If that stops the noise temporarily, that's likely your problem.

For a permanent solution, you could buy a new set of pad retaining springs, but if they are anything like the ones I got, they'll be broken again inside a year. Also you can smear some gunge (copperslip etc) on the back of the pads.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.

copperslip grease did the trick on mine, apply it to the BACK of the pads.

If this is suspension related, low speed (up to 30 mph) over bumps? then it's likely the top wishbone rubbers have collapsed.
A very common issue on the T25.....tyres will start wearing on the inside edges if they already haven't

Yep. Cruising down the motorway on a windless day I could hear a nest of birds tweeting under the n/s wheel arch......new upper wishbone bushes fixed that
