Right sized leisure battery....

Does anyone have a make and model of a leisure battery for a T25 Westfalia that actually fits into the battery compartment. I went to a local battery stockist that had 100's and couldnt find one that fits and allows the cover to be pushed fully down. Am I or the battery dealer missing something.

Thanks.

Dave

An Elecsol 100 will fit.
On my Autosleeper I had to raise the plywood battery cover by about 6mm but the seat will still swivel round.

I've got an Elecsol in my Westy. The lid doesn't close fully, but the seat still slides and revolves.

The original battery fitted by Westfalia was a normal starter battery.....

The compartment for my batteries in my 1983 Devon conversion are 180mm deep (that's not to say that any higher and the battery would be in contact with the chair, just the cover won't close), but I've found a couple of leisure batteries above 50Ah here:

These are 175mm high. Thought I'd share as I've spend bloody ages looking for ones short enough!

Yup...type 100....but this thread is 2 years old so I doubt the original poster will still be interested.

both my starter and leisure (62 & 63 Ah) are around 8 years old and I anyway want a little more juice to ensure than before to ensure that my amp is running fine off the leisure (I fitted a relay to switch the Radio power to either the standard power circuit or form the leisure), which it doesn't seem to be. Could also expand this leisure running battery dependant on the ignition on/off to interior lights for example.

what is the peoples fav battery right now?

as Im abroad I wouldn't want to ship the Xplorer over from the UK to Germany;
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-Volkswag ... 27dfccbdfb

also as a height of 175mm
https://www.varta-automotive.com/en-gb/ ... 72-409-068

so anything with a height of 175 is good, me thinks?
