1985 T25 Panel Van Project *5x120 adaptors*

Hi all
I’m new to club 80 - 90 and to the world of VW’s and still trying to figure out the best term for my van.. T25, T3, Wedge...
She’s a 1985 VW T3 Panel Van. Picked her up off eBay a few weeks ago from Surrey. One owner from new, and to say she’s been looked after is an understatement. All original, and in perfect condition, with just 100,000 miles on the clock and a full dealer service history. A great platform for my customisation.
I have bought it as a commercial vehicle to sell from at shows, so have lots of plans to kit it out for next years season, with the intention to get it partway ready for Vanfest in a couple of weeks. Here’s hoping...
Plans are to :
Vinyl wrap body
Lower (As low as physically possible)
17” Wheels (Trying to be a little bit different here)
Kit out back with wooden or metal racking / pigeon holes for T-Shirt storage
Fit Bulkhead to separate front and back access
New bumpers
Chin spoiler
And that should do it for now.
This is her when she was picked up... £1495.00 and a very happy new owner
Interior has been kitted out with foam padding on all walls, ceiling and back screen, then carpeted in black vehicle lining.
Bulkhead still to be completed. Interior pictures to follow...
Saturday 21st August
Lowered her 70mm all round, the height will be reviewed once the wheels have been fitted. I’ll be honest it is a ‘Cut and Cav solution but has worked faultlessly. I am very impressed with how good a ride this setup delivers...
Right now time for the strip down ready for the vinyl wrap to be fitted. I have chosen to go through a friend of a friend to get this done. Couple of limitations as he normally does roofs and decals for MINI’s, but after a long chat on the phone and a visit to his workshop minipirate (http://www.minipirate.com) took up the challenge to wrap the van.
(The black spray is to avoid the white coming through on the black / carbon effect wrap)
I am busy getting custom wheel adaptors made. Tyres delivered and fitted, and trying to source replacement bumpers and chin spoiler.
Here are the most recent pics of her :
Next it was off to Leicestershire to visit minipirate to get the wrap design fitted. After many design exchanges we finally agreed on this :
One week later and we are half way through the wrap process...
10 days and counting.
I should get the van back on Monday. Wheels are going over to the adaptor guy Friday and the adaptors are being made over the weekend, ready for fitment next week...
Hopefully we will be at VanFest on the Sunday just for a nosey about and get a feel for the scene...
Any feedback is welcome.
