Special thanks to Doug for his excellent leadership skills and thankyou to Head Chef Paul and the lovely ladies who prepared our communal roast and cocktails, all done so well.
Please do it all again

Really Jed,
Such a negative response, only minor damage was suffered by any of us but if you want to enjoy this type of event, you need to take the chance, none of us are into wrecking what is becoming an ever expensive asset.
Why buy a 4x4 Camper to drive only on tarmac ?, they were built to be enjoyed over challenging terrain, and thats exactly why we do it :D

A brilliant weekend!, we were looking forward to it and were certainly not disapointed. Many thanks to all and especially Clive and Jenny for I'm sure a lot of work but also for the shotgun ride down the lane when I chickened out with my van....and top marks to Paul for making it look so easy in a high top!! even with Dave the "Chief" Spotter

.......also thanks clive for the tips, good one about the handbrake, only it wasn't working doh!

Looking forward to Wales.

Just watched jebiga's vid - was it all that desperate?!
I wouldn't have worried about the shonkro getting scraped (he lied) but the learning curve may have been quite steep, just not as steep as the roll angle of Clive's pickup 8)

The sunday was very tame but enjoyable, have lots of footage but ended up on the cutting room floor as doesn't make v interesting viewing. But in the case of all this stuff you had to be there!

I managed to lightly dent a couple of panels on an narrowed lane exit which had been modified by an annoying git. If the scowling horse riders hadn't been stood around waiting for us to clear the lane I daresay this could have been avoidable.

I believe there is a photo of a certain Roger getting intimate with a ditch, which he is convinced was my fault. :D

Hats off to Paul for his roast lamb cooked in a bbq.

Tarr Steps was fun as well, ignoring the cries of other tourists saying 'turn around, the road is impassable'.

The calm before everything went pear shaped....

Clive in two or is it three minds as how best to tackle this lane.....

Back home after a frustrating trip on the M5/M6 - looks like lots of people stayed the extra night as there was a lot of holiday traffic still on the road.

Cracking weekend, especially thanks to Doug, Andy and Matt for the shared rides, Paul for his barman skills, fire making and head chefing and to all the sous chefs for the veg, special mention to Julia for the cheesecakes.

thanks too to Andrew and Steve for their work this morning returffing the burnt patch made by Pete's fire tray and for disposal of the ash etc.. from the washing machine drum fire

All in all very very excellent, cheers :ok

Paul your barbie mesh is with Dave

Still here, cruised around this morning searching for Paul's mag mount etc. Walked 3 lanes and couldn't find it. Sorry,

Just pulled into Tesco carpark to the sound of 4 litres of hot oil pissing onto pavoirs. Thanks Andy Mc for dragging us back to the campsite (after cleaning up). Seems one of the sump blanking plugs and the bashplate had been mating over the weekend. It couldn't have happened at a better moment - we could have been on the motorway coming home. Anyway all fixed now, finishing site clean up. Andy left a couple of hours ago. Very quiet and beautiful evening again - even our neighbours have gone home.

Long haul home tomorrow. What a cracking week, best for a long, long time.
