Windscreen bottom corner repair panels

Post by The Ark »

Morning. :)

A little help from the panel please…

I’m looking for these panels https://www.bus-ok.de/T25-corner-windsh ... -251805035

Does anyone know if any UK companies stock these? I tried to order from Bus ok, but they no longer ship to the uk.

Or maybe @davidoft could cut up a mint van and sell me the corners for £1.75

There are a few companies based in europe that will forward parcels on to the UK if required.

I have a feeling my last order from them might have been the one that tipped them over the edge into realising it's not worth the ballache dealing with our inept postal and customs systems.

I ordered a drivers side outer sill for my Doka and it got stuck in customs. Parcelfarce put the "you owe £x" note through someone elses door, so it sat in customs for a month then got returned to sender. We could both see it was stuck in customs on the tracking info, but when I called up to pay the fees, Parcelforce didn't recognise the tracking number.

Then they resent it and parcelforce did exactly the same thing the second time round!

I was very apologetic and offered to pay both lots of "failed" shipping charges.

Third time the charm, they sent it using DHL and just put 5 euros as the value

I think JK is their official partner in the UK, but I am not sure. Maybe Schofields is.
But those panels are really fresh. They were introduced last week.
I think some time will be needed to have them in the UK.

That part number comes up with this on Schofield's website.
Search for "251805035" (alanhschofield.com)

Oh, if your rust is relatively minor, I have repaired quite a few vans using the corner repair sections from schofields that are sold for a splitty

They're not quite right but it's a lot easier than starting from scratch

Thanks for the reply’s chaps

Sadly my corners are way past the scope of the current crop of repair panels that uk stockists have at the moment

I’m sure I could make some, but those Bus ok De panels look perfect for my needs, and would save a lot of hassle!

I think I will wait and see if they turn up at our usual suspects in the next few months, as I have plenty of other welding jobs to do! (It’s a rust bucket of a uk single cab  )

May worth to send some emails to the vendors asking if they are aware and plan to import some.

Interesting.

They don’t list the panels, but I will email them to see if they can get them from Bus ok De.
