Covkid Gadget!

Post by CovKid »

I'm back, with a gadget that is perfect for any T25. Still around, mostly concentrating on my house and restoring old arcade machines on youtube but this one is perfect for when you need to level everything up on your pitch.

I've thought about something like this for my van as the campsites we go to are a lot more natural than the hardstanding fields that you get.
Good to see you're still about :ok

Takes a lot of the work out of it for sure. Doesn't seem a bad buy from Aliexpress at £33 incl postage. Was here in about 10 days. Its surprising how much even a slight lean can make bedtime really odd.  I'm not far from the Wallace these days.

That's a handy bit of kit. Could be integrated into the ashtray hole with a bit of work.

Thanks for the slap around the head Steve  :rofl - Done

I've yet to see what happens to the compass once you get going but not sure its any use on the road anyway - unless you think you're heading northbound on the motorway and its pointing South. That said, if you're heading to Scotland, it'll be right on the way up. Will let you know.   Definately more responsive/accurate than the analogue ones for levelling.

In my experience compasses in vehicles are never very accurate, too many magnets in speakers and magnetically fields in electricals, but I’ve put the said M60 in my watch list ….

Can confirm that compass does indeed change once moving. Defaults to North when static. Speedo seems accurate as it shows 33mph on civic speedo and 30mph on inclinometer. That is correct due to fitting low profiles. Also clock picks up correct time automatically.

Nothing to complain about for £33 via aliexpress. Suggest park on known level ground to zero out inclinometer. Once done that's it. Yep, good buy. Certainly better than the analogue ones.

This what I use to check all is level when camping! 😅
Seriously though, it looks a decent piece of kit for the price. 👍

I have used Aliexpress alot in the last year. The exact same items are often on Amazon and Ebay at a much higher price. Postage is rapid considering items come from China but some items come from a UK depot.
i got some mini spirit levels in my van for pennies.

The search function is not the best and sometimes if you dig you find the same item cheaper
