Safe under driver seat

Post by Welshclimber »

Hi all!
We’ve got a safe under the driver seat in our ‘86 Autosleeper. Just wondered if anyone else has got one? Was it part of the original conversion? The seat doesn’t seem to slide far enough forward to open it 😅

Sounds like a previous owner may have fitted it. You may have to remove the seat to access it.

There is a little catch lever on the side of the seat that engages on the runner as the seat is pushed forward, it prevents the seat from being pushed too far forward .

Thank you, the little catch worked a treat once we’d also greased up the runners a little!
I have no idea how they have fitted it though, think the bolts are under the van 😅
Thanks for your help 😊
