Replacing Camper Floor

Evening All,
Now in position to put down main floor and not sure of best approach .
All units out and floor refurbished, was intending using 9mm Marine Ply with carpet on top giving me 12mm all over and then install units on top .
Now thinking using 12mm ply , installing units and then carpeting the rest, with units on ply .
Can anyone advise which is best way with this please ?
Also unsure whether to insulate between floor ribs before laying ply , will this make any difference in air flow affecting any future corrosion and is it worth it ?

Units on ply. There may come a time when the carpet gets damaged/out of fashion , and you want to change it.
Don't bother insulating between ribs. Air gap is insulation in itself.
Use marine ply. The normal ply they sell now delaminates if it gets wet.

Camping and Carpets I find are a bad combination. Wood (or Vinyl flooring) and rugs are a far more practical.

I insulate the ribs , the better insulated the less condenstaion , cold metal , warm van will always be bad .
I never put the floor covering under the cupboards . Infact in my current camper I haven’t used ply at all , I’ve used closed cell foam matting on top of the insulation , saving 45kg

When I redid my floor after some welding work I sound deadened the lower ribs and then closed cell foam over the entire floor. I stuck the ply back over the top then put some carpet down up to the units but not under them. The carpet can be easily taken out and cleaned or just chucked if it gets too bad. Bought an offcut from a local carpet company where i've got enough to do the carpet twice if need be.

Either way works but if not going under units don't forget the cupboard doors, will they catch if just carpeting/vinyling the floor?
I put a tough grip vynil down with a couple of door mats 1 at entrance 1 by cooker( most worn places).

I used B&Q carpet tiles and spray adhesive. Absolutely brilliant. They are virtually wear and stain resistant and are easily cut to fit. If they get damaged, just pull up the damaged ones and replace them. Cheap too!! I have had a dog, wet muddy boots, and teenagers to their best to destroy the in there. They can be scrubbed with soapy water too if they get too dirty. I had vinyl flooring for a while, but the carpet does add a certain something that vinyl flooring doesn't.

Good advice from everyone and now going for 12mm Marine Ply for all the floor area , followed by units .
May use insulation between the ribs . Then carpet/tiles/Lino as now have kids and grandkids all wanting to use the van , easier to clean
I’ll put some pics up when all sorted , may be some time as no rush !

Should have included this , using 8x4’ standard sheet .
Total floor area approx 61”x61” . Main sheet will be 48” x 60” , leaving 13” to reinforcing bar and allowing 1” under units . Doing this as in the future if any welding required on O/S panel/sill etc then no need to remove whole floor . Gotta be positive
