Main light switch stuck

Post by kernelpanic »

My main light switch on the T3 just suddenly seized up yesterday, completely refusing to move and thus no lights.

I took out the switch and took it apart, trying to see if something melted on or what happened. Got it back together in a way that I can turn the lights on again, but the back lights and breaks dont come on. Front + Park Front (When turned off? + Blinkers work. Could it be that the park light switch is required for the rear lights to turn on?

What could be the issue here? I dont quite understand the wiring of it all. Fuses also look good. I dont see any corroded parts in the wiring.

Ordered a new switch, but that will take some time and Inhave to catch a ferry. So worst case, any advice on which of the pins in the lightswitch I have to hotwire to get the lights working?
