Hi guys, what is the biggest AT tyre I can fit on 15” wheels on a Syncro with no additional lift and without them touching the wheel arches or trailing arms. We currently have 215/75r15, but could I get away with 225/75r15 or 235/75r15? Do BFG even make them?

Hey there - long time no see - hope you’re both keeping well.

My understanding is that you already have the largest standard tyres - the equivalent on 16” rims is 215/70R16. I have seen some posts where people are saying that they can put 205R16 on a standard Syncro - I think wedgebury have them on their van. Diameter wise they’re quite a bit bigger, but apparently they fit because they’re skinnier. In any case it doesn’t seem to be a commonplace fitting, and it’s not something I’ve tried.

Hi Daniel, it’s been a long time. Yeah the Wedgies and the Withys have 16” , but I don’t want to do that.

We are heading to Morocco, so I’d like a bit more rubber between me and the road, but not at the expense of the van touching the tyres.
