Vague title I know but should there be something in this hole? It's to the left of the starter motor on the flywheel casing I think. Looks like a big Alan key slot but I can put my finger into it. I don't ever remember seeing anything there but just in case like.
Should there be something here?

That's the cover to the timing port in the bell housing - you seem to be missing the cap that plugs the hole in the centre:

Re: Should there be something here?
Ah ok, ya I thought it looked like some sort of cap would go in there. Cheers for that.
Now onto my next two
What is this for, it feels like it's an electrical connection but again doesn't feel or look like there has been anything in there for years.
And finally (for now), on the underside of the air filter housing there is space for a hose, but there isn't any. Any ideas where that would go/from?

The first image is the blow off valve on the inlet manifold. It releases excess pressure to stop the turbo overboosting.
The hole you refer to on the air filter box is the air inlet there should. Be a pipe connecting it to the snorkel in the rear corner

Ah ok. There is no turbo on the van but maybe there was in the past. Anyway, thanks for the info I appreciate it.
