Sppedo cable after different wheels

Post by gollfy »

I bought some wheels for my van however I have had to remove the bearing caps on the front to get them to fit.  Now I know they are there for a reason so would have preferred they stay on however.  My main problme is know the speedo cable does not sit in the cap, therefore it does not work.  Has anyone else had the issue and how did they get round it?

I seem to remember someone posting they had cut the part of the cap that sits in the wheel down a bit, in order to get the cable through the cap.
