Pressure Control Valve, common rail system ??

Post by Rdav1s »

'89 UK  1.6TD JX

Im posting this in the syncro section because according to google, its a syncro specific part   :?

https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/esen-skv-13739984.html

My question is... what is it. There is nothing connected to what looks like a hose connection. Nothing connected to the electric side. Is it to counter balance the driver to keep it level  being on the left?

thanks as ever for taking the time to educate me.

It's a blow off valve for the manifold. It prevents damage to the engine if the turbo is over boosting.. But can be adjusted to Increase boost and get a bit more. Power.. But requires. Other mods. It's not syncro specific as far as I'm aware. It for the Jx 1.6 Td engine
