Idle and running Issue

Post by herman_t25 »

Hi All,

last few weeks I've been doing some work to the coolant and the van hasn't run. I finally put it back together today and started to try to bleed the coolant system of the air. The van struggled to start but nothing i wasn't expecting after 3 odd weeks or so since it ran.

I finally got it running by giving it some revs when turning over. completely different to how I normally do as it has the auto choke. The single press of the pedal did nothing. Once it was running it wouldn't idle, the minute I stopped giving it rev's it just cut out. I assumed it was just cold but even when the van started to get to temp it still wouldn't.

I also couldn't move the van, even flat to the floor the revs dropped to nothing when it found the bite.

seems like its a lack of fuel but where shall i start? its a 1.9 WBX engine

thanks

Glad you are sorted OP. Hope you changed the other plugs too so you have a good heathy spark across all cylinders.
