Oettinger 1.6 Td intercooler
So im starting to plan a jx rebuild I purchased a spare engine from a forum member and plan to rebuild and fit with an oil cooler and a water to air intercooler (although I think officaly they are now called after cooler as they are after the turbo) obviously Otteniger ones are rare as an you can get 2 different kits from germany which are £2000 ++
So iv been looking at alternatives and I'm down to 2 options.
Range rover evoque
Or generic eBay
I have the Oettinger instalation manual
Then I have to modify the LDA to essential increace it's throw to turn the cam more and add more fuel...
I will also fit boost gauge and oil temp gauge... I'll fit all to my Current engine (which uses just a bit to much oil for my liking) then fit to rebuilt engine and turbo..
Was just wondering if anyone had an Oettinger TD or any opinions.
I'm definitely going water to air. And not air to air with a smart car intercooler and fan.
Also not sure if EGT gauge is necessary
Im not after big power im actually happy with my JX it sits happily at 65 on the cruise control all day long (westy pop top) . Its more for peace of Mind with new engine and that little bit more oomph uphill

I think I may have the hens teeth you are looking for!
It was removed from a JX engine with coolant issues and I no longer have a use for it.
Everything I removed is there somewhere from the pipes to the pump and including the front mounted radiator.
I’m sure I may have pictures of it insalled somewhere too.
PM if interested and I’ll send you my number.

I'd be interested in that if Rascal doesn't want it.

If that's what I can see in one of the photos?

I think that’s a standard JX filter bracket?
I’ll have a good look through and work out what needs to go with the charge cooler kit and I guess it depends if rascal potentially needs it or not.

Re: Oettinger 1.6 Td intercooler
That's a BEHR product
Re: Oettinger 1.6 Td intercooler
Excuse the typo I ment BEHR. Not Beco in previous post as BEHR is clearly stamped into the Plastic.. But there is no part number so its not much use... So was asking if anyone else had part number or know what it was originally fitted to?

Looks a bit like a Fiat Cinquecento rad to me but I could be wrong. Might be off a motorbike?
