Ah they were worthless... The place felt a total shambles (Salford/Stretford branch). he said there were none anywhere. I'll take my business elsewhere I think! VwHeritage actually have them in stock. If I was dealing with a total part failure and needed the replacement immediately, I'd have argued the case. Ho hum.. better hope my present one holds up. Wouldn't be the first ill timed holiday breakdown ;)

I have tried Teesside, Leeds, Leicester, none in stock in any of those main centres or regional hubs. If I order by 11, the parts are normally with me by 3-4 at the latest.

I was thinking I could get one & post it to you, looks like there is a general product shortage

Ah that's kind, thanks for looking into it. I think we'll be fine, I can always get one posted to where we're staying (mull) if needed and just adapt plans. It's behaving alright at the moment ;-)
