Got new headertank and cap, done hours off bleeding but seems like if I wait five minutes there's always some more air too come out from the radiator bleeding screw even after bleeding for more then one hour, pretty sure this is exhaust getting pumped into to the cooling system.
Have done a couple of short drives after topping up the header tank and every time the overfill tank have been spitting out coolant. While cooling down the header tank sucks back some off the coolant but not enough to be full again.

It's good that you know where the coolant is coming out from but bad news that you seem to be getting gasses into your coolant. The symptoms you outlined (air locks constantly generated, overflowing top-up tank and failing to suck back) are consistent with a head seal failure. A sniff test would confirm your fears before you replace the head seals. More experienced members may be able to confirm the diagnosis.The heads themselves may be fine. Knowing what you now know, I would minimise the amount of driving you do as you may be overheating and doing more damage. Hope this helps. Best of luck with it.
Hi guys, I dont mean to deviate from the original purpose of the thread but where on the coolant gauge do DJ engines normally sit. When sitting at an idle mine sits at 2/3 up the gauge. I also have an 80 degree thermostat
I'm not 100% sure how it should be but on my cars it's always been in the middle when everything is working. Going uphill, having heavy load or driving in hot weather normally make the needle rest just right off the led instead of in the middle, having the front and rear heater blowing makes it go to the middle again.

Yes when mine is on the motorway at 55-60mph it will sit halfway or a shade above halfway, once standing still it climbs to 2/3 or maybe 3/4 , but not enough to make the fan come on. (The fan does work, I checked!)
