Removing Towbar

Just had a go at removing my towbar today. Managed to get 2 bolts out, but another 2 are doing the usual old "rusted and not shifting" routine.

Just wanted to check how many bolts are on them and if i'm removing the right one's:

Cheers.

I'm not sure what van you have (hint: put the details of your van in your signature), so this might be a redundant comment, but if you have a Westy then the towbar has three bolts per side.

Make sure nothing has been mounted in the engine bay that uses a bolt going through the tow bar bracket! This makes for a lot of head scratching, swearing, pulling and pushing.

Cheers, yeah it doesn't look like anything else accept the towbar is mounted. Always good to check on club 80-90 :D

I noticed on some pictures online that similar looking towbars had 5 or 6 bolts? I should have the 4 i can see on mine off tomorrow though, so i'll let you know if it has any more hidden :D

What impact wrench do you use fella? I could do with a new one.

I bought this kit:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BURISCH-680n ... :rk:4:pf:0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The oiler is terrible, but the wrench has worked well so far.

If you have all the connections you could just buy the wrench:
