Now then, you knowledgeable folk may be able to help with my simple wheel query. I already have longer studs fitted front and rear, what else would I require to fit some 7J x15 ET59 wheels from a Sharan?

At a guess 20mm spacers to bring the ET down to somewhere near standard, just watch for the tyre fouling on the top ball joint at the front though.

Also make sure the wheel centres will pass over the front grease caps, about 66mm if I remember correctly.

New nuts possibly depending on whether the wheels are tapered or radiused, I would bet on tapered and standard steels are radiused.

Oh, and some correct profile and weight tyres.

Thanks for the reply. I already have alloys and nuts but I'd like to replace the studs for a better quality product as they're soft as cheese and several were cross threaded when I bought the van.

As for the top ball joint, is there a way of knowing for definite whether or not this could cause an issue?

Have you seen the article in the wiki regarding too wishbone fouling?

With 7 x 15 you'll be lucky to get the ET greater than 25 without a wishbone foul.
The SA 6.5 x 15 were ET30 but are the only wheel capable of achieving this offset.
All the period 7 x 15 alloys were around ET 21-23
So in conclusion you'll need spacers at least 35mm thick, maybe 38mm.
