In todays money and time

£2800 - 10 ish days (with help from a mate)

Final cost going from Diesel to Petrol and DIY ......

£1700 - Full RJES Kit (inc clutch and harness work)
£600 - Legacy 2.0ltr NA Engine delivered from HDC - specialist Subaru breakers
£30 Rev Counter
£30 pump off e bay
£500 - "sundries" like gunk, hammerite, waxoyl - new metric bolts - cone air filter /oil/plugs / gearbox oil / shrink wrap / travel up north to collect RJES kit/ gear linkage rebuild kit (£40) /all new nuts bolts and washers, hylomar, exhaust gaskets, spark plugs, sump gasket cam sensor, wire, solder,

Exhaust....
Add budget for an exhaust - they can be bought off the shelf for hundreds of quid - or knocked up with pipe and home made flanges with silencers from cars.....I was kindly given snazzy GSXR1100 titanium exhaust silencer can by 300CE - a member here, and the flanges/pipes were made up by a mate. When the bank account recovers I plan to get a new aftermarket stainless /or a used MR2 exhaust ......as I want twin pipes and a bit more silencing in time, but the motorbike can is fine for now.

I additionally had to spend another £400 ( totalling £3200 ) consisting of

£250 - 2.1 Petrol Fuel System, Petrol Tank and all needed pipes/brackets Brickwerks
£140 - Starter Motor

I got £400 for my old 1.9 AEF which helped offset the additional costs.

In hindsight I wouldn't have changed the diesel tank to petrol - apparently - and I stand to be corrected - its only needed if you have the 2.5 or turbo engines ..... and I was unlucky with the starter motor not working - I know you can get them for about £80 on e bay.

Time wise - ...spread over a month I guess its been best part of 10 days - and thats with a mate helping - some full days - others just an afternoon or morning.

Hope this and the posts / contributions from others will help anyone contemplating the conversion...
