Gearbox for 2.1 Dj

Hi
Ive looked at gearbox codes for 2.1DJ.
Will other gearboxes fit this engine?
I ask because I currently have a 4 speed box which is probably not standard.
Van used to be 1.9 but changed at some time to a 2,1.

yep all wbx boxes will fit but ratios may not be perfect.
1.9 boxes rev higher than 2.1 boxes for obvious reasions.

Some 2.1 engine vans had 4 speed with the same ratios as the gearbox fitted to 1.9 vans. Most 2.1 vans had 5 speed. Find out what code yours is.

Van is in storage at moment.
I do have a spare gearbox.
Code for that one is
ABB 04 12 4
though the second B might be a re stamp.

ABB is one of the best ratio 4 speed , on the RJES code list it was fitted to the lower power petrol engine from 1984 onwards.
