Fitting Mercedes Wheels

Hey,

I want some new wheels for my Westy and like these:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16-alloy-rim ... Swo8BbGrI5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm guessing will need to get the bolt holes made bigger? Is there anywhere in particular I can go to get this done? Doesn't seem like a normal thing to do, but I am new to this!!

Any other things I'd need to consider for fitting these wheels?

Thanks,

Chris

Yes please consider the centre bore hole diameter.
Do you need to taper or radius a new shoulder.
Are they ok for 2.5 tonnes max laden weight.

And after you drill out the alloy are these wheels still covered under your insurance should they fail due to modification.

lovely wheels but go for something you don't need to modify

Merc ML wheels look good and don't need boring and are weight rated

Yes ML rims look really nice.
So nice I fitted them to mine and painted them white!

Crazy...

Most wheels require longer studs/bolts so factor this cost in, ML wheels need a spacer as well.

The centre caps won't fit on due to the nuts and grease caps sticking out so you will probably want to sort that out.

Plenty of info about so just ask, select what wheels you're thinking of fitting and someone will know what you need.

Offset is about right but due to wheels being wider than standard you might find they foul top arm so spacer required, as already mentioned new nuts will be needed as standards are radiused and a lot of alloys are tapered plus the standards look shyte.

I've got some old Granada alloys on mine that have an offset of 37 and they only just clear the top arm.
