Switched Live Good Practice

I am finding I keep having to hunt for switched lives. So far I need it for:

- Radio
- Tachometer
- Guages
- PAS

And now I need one for immobiliser on a GTI engine conversion. What is the neatest and best way to provide for all these? A small junction box? Relay?
I have an early van and can't find any spare spades on the back of the fuse box now.

Thanks

I fitted an additional fusebox for accessories under the right side of the dash.

Looks like a neat solution. Where is the best place to pick up the switched live for a fuse box?

From the input side of fuse 11 or 12, if you are running heavy loads off the auxiliary fusebox supply it through a relay using the power supply to terminal 30 of the relay from the input side of fuse 7,8 or 9 and power from 11 or 12 to switch the relay.

Yea I might go the relay route. Great idea making a backing plate so it will fit. Where did you get the spade connector earth fitting?

From the top of an old ignition coil.

in DIN the black is the colour for the ignition live wire. I think you can pick any black wire and splice into it.

You don't know if anyone has been messing with the wiring.

Best advice was earlier on, use a feed from fuse 7 to make the auxillary fusebox live (fuse 7 nominally being for accessories), using a relay if necessary
