Licence plate lights

Anyone ever retro fitted some aftermarket licence plate lights like these as the vw originals are silly money?

No, not as yet, but be aware that they maybe a bit large .....
I think some have just used adhesive led strip instead of the originals .

I fitted a pair of these a while ago (though from a different seller) the hole centres were 50mm so you can use the original mounting holes and they fit inside the existing mounts
