Wipers and heated screen inop

Hi all!
Fitted an oil pressure guage the other week picking its feed from the heated rear screen switch.(good idea or not)
Noticed that it had stopped working and the switch has stopped lighting up. Also noticed that the wash and wipe and wipers had stopped working too.
Fuses seem okay.
Any ideas or has anyone had these two things come inop at the same time before ? Cheers
