Interior roof around the skylight material

Hi all,
Since I am cleaning up the interior of the van I decided to also attempt to fix the interior roof. About a year ago the skylight started leaking and when I replaced it I found the wood the skylight screwed into was all rotten and totally saturated. When I replaced all this I ended up tearing some of the internal roof material, i am not sure what it is but it looks fairly tatty around the skylight now. Just wondering what can be done to sort out the interior roof? or make it cleaner etc? It is an Autohomes Kameo 3 interior, i am not at home at the moment so cant send a picture but will do so this evening. Cheers folks as always
