Replacing Glass in Louvre window

My Louve window (well, one half) was mangled by an attempt to steal my van. I have had replacement glass cut and hoped to just slide in the new glass after prising apart - i am not confident of removing the whole unit. Is there any easy way to slide the glass in or will I need to get this done professionally? Thanks
