You can't go greater than 10w in tungsten either or it will melt the lenses.

Image - they fit ULO rear lights but not Hella. Almost no heat generated either.

I am really hoping to be able to convert my rear lights with these panels.
Could anyone please help out with how to do it, or where to get the panels from,
or what to type in to search for the panels please.
Mine are the ULOs..

Thanks

A quick ebay search came up with these
Not sure if they are the same as the ones I used, but I did mine back in 2011

Excellent!
My eBay search just came back with bathroom lights mostly.
Should have used the word "car" !!
Now do I use colours or all white ones ?
This is looking promising.
Also theres the fog light to consider..
what did you do in there?

I only did the tail lights ( red panel 10w ) and the brake lights ( red panel 20w) and I used white magnifying cob bulbs for the reversing lights and same on fog lights
The direction indicators I left as 21w tungsten bulbs , as stock

These are in UK and might do the job,
although in the specs it says "Size: 12*7CM"
might be a bit of a tight fit?

Ah now these have a range of colours and power:

Which size would be the optimum replacements,
or shall I experiment?

its so long since i did mine i cant really remember the sizes, you'll have to measure i think...
no point in doing reversing lights with a panel , the best results are with a magnified led bulb i found.
i didnt mess with indicators because they are no a big voltage drain and are bright enough for what they RE , AND it was worth messing with resistors or changing the flasher unit to suit led
