Doing this job today and bolts came off no problems so I thought this will be easy but when I pulled the shroud out with helper spring/buffer I found it was broken.

it looks like these are 251411123B -NLA so what do others do?

tube of silicone?

if it drops down though won't dirt and water will get onto the piston and corrode it?

Just found some black PU adhesive think that's better than silicone?

Sikaflex ........... it bonds and sets like rubber, very useful for reinforcing engine mounts, repairing a shroud will be well within its capabilities.

Other brands are available

not enough rubber left for superglue, needs something bulky to stick ribs together.

new spacers arrived today used the old shocks to clamp them in place while the PU adhesive sets

I did a posting with how I see things (or don't) earlier today http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=163702

The Sikaflex I use is a PU adhesive as you suspected - I had never read the label closely. It's good stuff with many uses :ok

Bump stops / shrouds ready to go back

there is clearly a large piece of steel in them so even if they perish they will not push through the turret
