Camping table recommendation?

We're looking for a dining table to take with us and use under our new ARB awning (thanks Dan) - I really don't like the idea of disposable junk and would rather pay more for something that's going to last. Any advice out there?

p.s. Also looking for 2 chairs!

The generic alloy "roll up top" camping tables with scissor legs seem to last quite well. Had one for years, came from Halfords iirc (end of season sale)

What really grinds my gears are the ones that are far too tall and therefore unstable. Only camping tables are like this! We settled for one of these and its been fantastic.

Have a look at Crespo gear, a Spanish company who make really good quality camping stuff: http://www.crespo.es/en/mesas_crespo.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We have the AL-251 G table. Great quality, won't rust or soak up water when left outside in the rain, fully adjustable telescopic legs that work! Wasn't cheap & I think we paid €65 three years ago but It really is a good quality product & will last many years.

After some advice on here a few years ago i bought a second hand drum stool tripod from a car boot sale, adapted the top so i could fix the larger camper table to it, dead handy when required for outside use. The tripod takes up no room in the boot and the table top is already in the van.
David.

After buying expensive crappy tables and chairs in 2016, this looks like a much better option. Cheers

Yep, we've got one of those. Had it over ten years and just about twice around the UK coast and lots of France. It works for us.

We bought this from go outdoors. Adjustable legs and the width fits perfect in the boot, made to measure,. I slide it between the cushion and soundproofing.

yep got the same but in white, had a green one before that which broke when I stood on it but at that price who cares
The one above is so quick to put up we use it at aires in France for a 20 minuite lunch break in the sun.

before that a slatted aluminium table which I hated because things fell through the gaps and it took ages to put up and it wasn't very flat.

I opted for a light weight ish metal bistro table -60cm diameter, which when 'collapsed' is flat ish and I tie it to the back of the passenger seat. I did away with the 'hole in floor' fixed table in my van, and use the bistro inside too ! Works well for me.

We’ve had one of these for years, all collapses and stores inside itself.

I’m sure with a little effort you could find one in UK.
We also had one that folds into itself that’s very similar like a beer garden bench, it was rubbish. Like these

We've got one like this as well - it came with the van and so has had at least seven or eight years of use. My only criticism is that it's a little heavy to move around and store but otherwise it's nice and robust for a family of four.
