brake lights flicker

My mate was following me home and dutifully informed that both brake lights were flickering when brakes applied.

Is there a common earth crown for these and where is it located on a 1987 T25

THanks

Rear lights earth is in the engine bay
Always worth cleaning them up but it is more likely to be a faulty brake light switch.

Early models on the rear panel.

Later Models under the coil

Thanks Herb,

Haynes tells me brake switch is part of master cylinder set up.

Will have a look see if any problems with connections and check out earths too.

Flickering is rarely earth...nearly always the hydraulic switch.

Many thanks, will start with that first when the incessant rain stops !!

Can the switch be replaced without removing the master cylinder and draining/bleeding the whole system ?

You don't have to remove the
masters cylinder and you don't have to
bleed it either .
