Bellhousing hole?

Hi, can anyone confirm if this is a syncro bellhousing and if so as i’m using on a DG to AGG conversation should it be blanked off and, if yes does anywhere supply a blanking bung, grommet .... many thanks

Don't fill it up with anything.
I'm no mechanic but as far as I know it's to check the timing marks on the flywheel

Anything to push in and block it off - cork from your favourite wine. My old bell housing had nothing in at all so I used a bung that I picked up off the beach! Just needs to be removable so that you can see the timing mark and closes it off so that detritus doesn't get in.

put a cork in it to keep the road dirt and water out of the clutch, there should be a plastic bung on a lanyard but they get trashed and often the plastic plug you have is also missing, lack of timing cover and cap causes corrosion of the clutch fork bush and contamination of the clutch with all sorts

Ah, I see, its an expensive plastic screw in bung and a thing to stick in it. I like the cork idea Aiden , cant quite see in a non syncro that id need to sue the hole, am thinking of a 27mm alloy plug?

Thanks v much OBG, ive found a plastic rubber bung for pipework that fits v nicely. :D
