Which bolt is the oil sump?

Hi all,

Quick question. Due an engine oil change and about to do it and there is two bolts in the oil container (not sure of ts proper name) that could be used to let out the oil. I cant remember which one i used before.

One bolt has an allen key head and the other is a normal hex head. Both bolts are at the same level with the allen key bolt on the side of the oil container while the other is on the back end facing the exhaust.

Will it matter which one i open? Both look about the same size.

Hi PSN.
You don't say what engine you have and I can't see your pictures because photobucket now charge for posting pics on forums etc (unless you use google chrome I'm told, but I dont).
You might want to try using Flikr to host your pics so everyone can see them.
anyway, on my DG 1.9 petrol engine the oil drain is on the bottom of the sump (oil container?) and has a large hex head.
The gearbox oil drain has a big hex hole for an allen key.
Don't confuse the two or you'll drain the gearbox oil and overfill the engine oil.
Hope that helps, but if you don't have a 1.9 petrol it won't help much.

Standard 1.9/2.1 Waterboxer sump plug has a 13mm head on a round base and is recessed under the middle of the engine.
