Banded wheel spec

I may be getting ahead of myself here seeing as my new to me T25 unfinished project only rolled off the back of the recovery truck 18 hours ago but I really do love the look of the deep dished banded steel wheels and deep baby moon hub caps. Its already on slightly lowered springs (60mm IIRC) If I was to go down the route of getting some 16" wheels banded how wide could i go, what offset and what size tyres should i be looking at and is there anyone in the sheffield and surrounding area that does them?

Cheers,
after doing a bit of a search I've found T25s, T4s T5s, Transits and even Landrovers rolling on banded wheels. Is it really that bad an idea if done right?

If done right by a machine not some bloke whos good at welding they could well be fine.Just make sure your insurers are ok with them. You may have to explain what banded means.
