Do I need to replace coolant?

My head gaskett went recently on my AAZ and I have just got it all back up and running. As I was topping up the expansion chamber ready to bleed I noticed a lttle bit of scum, which got me thinking.... Should I drain the system and start again? Its not that old as the engine was replaced in the last few months. There is no water in the oil so I guess little or none in the water????
