I have changed my old plastic thermostat housing for a metal one
In doing so I had to use a single wire sender, and modify the connector.
Would the temperature resistance values be the same as the two wire one or are they slightly different.?
Reason I ask is the gauge is reading slightly higher with the single wire sender.

Re: Temp sender question
probably the reduced resistance of the earth, your two wire one needs to go via the ring termanal to earth post adding resistance.
I doubt VW made different guages which would be needed for different sensors.

Yes so less resistance would see the gauge an eighth higheritchyfeet wrote:probably the reduced resistance of the earth, your two wire one needs to go via the ring termanal to earth post adding resistance.
