Aah - yes... and having looked further... although vw heritage doesn't recognise the number, if you click on the right part of their website you can order any vw heritage part from germany via them... seems good - especially since the postage from the above link was as much as the part itself. Cheers for the pointer.

Make sure you type in the correct numbers and be patient cos it can take about one month to get a part from the VW Classic section of Vw Heritage, you have to be aware of storage marks on softer parts like headrests though.

Just completed the order from Heritage.... No postage as they tag it on their normal weekly order (every tuesday)
Fortunately I'm local so can collect rather than paying any UK postage too. But yes 3-4 week wait.

Sometimes you order a part , wait a month then they send you an email saying the part is unavailable even though its still says available ! and months later it still seems to be available. Its interesting to find out what is still available, some things are good value .

Fitted lower piece, bit of a faff, plus first ever exterior panel I have fitted to a t25..!! Some filler reqd, but can live with that.. had to fit a plate above so the new wheel arch fits flush.. now wishing I'd paid extra on the wheel arch as the fit on this one is poor.. oh well, I'm not aiming for concourse;)

This is my next job with the front arch however I get the feeling that I will need to replace the metal behind my B Post. All a learning curve :-)
