Vapour barrier

Has anyone used carpet protection film as a Vapour barrier before?
Spotted it whilst flicking through the toolstation catalogue and thought it could be an option to stick and fit behind the interior panels once the van is insulated. Suppose my only concern would be how long the sticky stuff lasts and whether is would sag over time.
What do other people use with Success?
