radiator bubbling

Guys i notced that when i go for a drive and then stop the van the radiator can be heard bubbling when i turn the engine off.Does the radiator need to be blead for air?..The van over heated on me and i think this may be the cause..
I assume before i check wiki the bleed screw is on the top of the radiator?...do i loosen this and start the engine to expell the air?
