Hybrid ceramic bearings

Has anyone used them, any good points/bad points/experiences?

They are a growing thing amongst racing cyclists these days, used for low friction. So bike websites might be a good place to look. Can't help myself, my best bike is from 1984, older than the van! Quality steel throughout!

So if you know any bike nuts? Trouble is, those who have shelled out are going to be positively biased, perhaps not wanting to acknowledge if they were a waste of money. Also most bike nuts will get a higher performance boost by losing weight, and aren't trained to a high enough level to notice the performance benefits to fancy bearings.

Yes - they appear to be the in thing with skateboards as well. Their price appears to be along the lines of decent high end steel ones. It was just that I was going to try them on the Webasto fan motors in an effort to reduce noise from normal steel replacements. The first couple that I have tried have been only a slight improvement.
