hi, all,
my t25 1.9 watercooled failed its mot today on the exhaust, i have the full system but the garage dont want to do the work, does anyone know anywhere in cornwall that would do this work, i would but am scared if i snap threads, in just outside of newquay, garage said it could be up to 20 hours by the time they take the engine out if they snap threads

I tried these chaps recently. They seemed friendly but very much an Aircooled focus so I wouldn't recommend for those like us with wet engines. They didn't even have any antifreeze in the garage (!) and failed to notice a leak despite header tank being half empty when I came to collect. It's clearly just not their bag though from the look of the vehicles onsite they must get lots of return Aircooled customers. There was also an unfortunate incident with appearing to pick up a flat tyre while it was in with them - turned out to be a cracked valve which they did repair for free.

So... any recommendations for good Cornwall garages with T25 experience please? We've just moved down. I've had a search and not found any other threads...

No probs, I was in the same position when I first took the van there! He's a good mech but more importantly for me he's not about ripping anyone off. Hope he can fit you in before the MOT
