Fitting roof bars to super viking

Hi all. I've got a super Viking and I've taken the plunge and decided to replace the canvas - the kids have had enough of the 30 years of damp and mildew!
Whilst it's off I thought I'd take the chance to fit roof bars for the family boards and stuff. I'm a bit worried about the best way to do it, or if I even can, considering the bars already on the roof that stretch a third of the way down the back.
If anyone has any experience or advice on the best bars to fit and how best to fit them I'd really appreciate it. Hoping to take offf the canvas this weekend and then fit the new one in a month or so - will be interesting as this isn't stuff isn't my area of expertise!
