Seatbelt stalk

Hi folks,
We've just had our first child this week, and having a bit of trouble with the length of the front seatbelt for the car seat.

I have the metal rigid stalk, which measures 27cm from the bolt hole centre to the tip of stalk. I only need about another 2cm in length.

Are there other types that'd fit the factory belt? Are they all rigid metal from factory?

Cheers!

There are various belt stalks, some flexi, there is a flexi type that is 37 cm long but its for floor mount so where its bolted on to body is at an angle, but would work if you only need 2 cm more, by the time its flexed back around that would be about it. Other flexi types are carat rear seat but maybe the same length as yours or late multivan buddy seat at 48 cm. The 37 cm stalk is still available new.

Thanks for the info guys, interesting!

Didn't think a seatbelt extender existed, I'm going to look into that. Just a bit concerned of their quality I guess? Nice simple solution assuming they're not wobbly and weak. I'll report back my findings [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Do you mean the flexi later type won't engage with the early belt?

I'm leaning toward an extender, of which there are many available. For fat people too [WINKING FACE] E marked European stamped ones. I'll measure my current male end spade (!!) Dimensions today to find out what'll fit. A 5 inch rigid extender would be ideal for what I need...

Just to finish the post, I contacted a maker of extenders who seemed to be the most prominent, and they couldn't do it.
I sent this photo.

I solved it though by moving the swivel base backward 1 bolt hole, which freed up a few inches of belt.
