Standard tow hitch with Alko ball?

Post by Born Too Late »

The tow ball I've got on my van is an Alko one for use with their fancy stabilised hitches. I only want to tow a small camping trailer like an Erde 122 or similar, does anyone know if you can tow a standard hitch with an Alko ball? Or am I better off swapping it for a standard ball?

Many thanks

It's the same coupling, the alko ball is moved further back and slightly higher than the standard coupling to allow for the extra size of the stabiliser hitch.
