Just to add to the topic

I just changed to 2.1 petrol from early diesel tank due to installing a subaru engine.

Though the tank itself was only about £80 from brickwork - new feed n return pipes are £40 - breather grommets £15 - filler neck £47 - Fuel pump bracket £20 - Fuel Pump £30 - tank to neck seal £10 ...

Fortunately the rubber elbow to the filler neck from the locking cap fits else all hat would have been another £40 or so

So that all came to an unbudgeted £250 to the conversion cost (ouch) plus cost of hammering the new tank and renewing the overflow and balance pipes where nessasary
